I encountered a problem over last week and this morning, concerning the management system ("my library account") in GLOCAT. A faculty member came in wanting to check out a video that was already overdue by two weeks. He was actually hoping to show the video in class THAT day, but obviously that wasn't going to happen. I worked with him to try and put a hold on the item but we ran into some issues. After the professor logged on with his username and password, GLOCAT asked for additional info - his library barcode and something else (can't remember at this point). If the system is working correctly, no one should have to add this extra bit of info. When I took the problem to Mark, he said that this problem may come up with several faculty and staff because they have had to be added to the system manually (they aren't included in Banner). So, if the username and password isn't enough to get someone into the library account management system, take that person's name to Mark and he will add them manually.
If you have any other questions on the specifics of this case (not always easy to explain clearly in text), please feel free to ask me directly.
